Partnership for Effective PeacekeepingTHE NEED: The Partnership for Effective Peacekeeping’s (PEP) website was outdated in appearance, structure and presentation, and provided minimal interactivity for users. The site was text heavy and not engaging for users, plus most of the content on the site was out of date. Additionally, there wasn’t much differentiation between types of content on the site, a weakness that needed to be addressed in the new site through more robust classification and differentiation. THE SOLUTION: Firefly developed a new brand look for PEP, including a logo, typography and color palette. The brand informed the visual vocabulary deployed throughout the entire site design. By utilizing the flexible, powerful open-source Drupal CMS, Firefly was able to make the new PEP site more interactive and engaging, but also easy to update by non-technical staff members. In addition, with Drupal’s ability to categorize, tag, and otherwise classify and differentiate content, Firefly was able to make it easier for users to access content of particular interest.
